Meet Adelle Onyango
I never set out to build a media company.
I simply believed that African women’s stories deserved to be told with honesty, compassion and dignity and that when we tell the truth about our lives, we give someone else permission to do the same.
After more than a decade in radio, I founded Legally Clueless Africa in 2019 to create the kind of platform I wished existed: one where African women could speak openly about healing, identity, relationships, purpose and the many experiences that shape who we become.
What began as a storytelling podcast has grown into a storytelling and wellness ecosystem that includes award-winning podcasts, films, live conversations, wellness experiences and community initiatives reaching audiences across Africa and the diaspora.
As a storyteller, filmmaker, published author and entrepreneur, my work has always been driven by one belief: stories have the power to transform the way we see ourselves and each other. Whether I'm sitting across from a guest in the studio, speaking on stage or creating spaces where women can gather in person, my hope is always the same, to help African women feel seen, understood and a little less alone.
When I'm not recording or creating, you'll probably find me walking the hills of Limuru, tending to my vegetable garden, writing, or dreaming up the next way Legally Clueless Africa can serve our community.
Thank you for being here.
I hope you find a story, a conversation or an experience that reminds you that your voice matters, your journey is worthy, and you have everything it takes to become the fullest version of yourself.
